92nd Annual Independence Day Ceremony
July 4 @ 2:00 pm - 3:00 pm
This year’s Fourth of July will be red, white, blue and plaid when we welcome Fred Marple from Frost Heaves for our annual Independence Day Ceremony! After the flag raising and reading of the Declaration of Independence, Fred will share his thoughts on the Declaration in what is sure to be a humorous and thought-provoking talk on the nation’s birthday.
The Flag Raising will take place on the front plaza of the Historical Building (19 Grove Street). After the flag is raised, guests will be seated in Bass Hall for the reading of the Declaration and Fred Marple’s remarks.
Since 1926, the Monadnock Center has welcomed the community to pause on July 4th and reflect on the founding of our nation at this annual ceremony. Join us this year and be part of a tradition 92 years in the making!
This 92nd Annual Independence Day Ceremony will be held rain or shine. Everyone is welcome.
