Ulster Landing at Mole Hill Theatre
May 18 @ 7:30 pm - 9:30 pm$12
Enjoy a rousing evening of traditional songs and tunes from across the Celtic nations. You’ll hear energetic Irish jigs and reels, songs of love and rebellion, “crooked” tunes from Cornwall and Quebec, beautiful Scottish airs, hypnotic Breton dances, and a few favorite singalongs for you to join in!
Ulster Landing is a Boston-based band focused on traditional music of the Celtic nations including Ireland, Scotland, Cornwall, Brittany and beyond. The group’s name is a reference to the Irish province of Ulster where Scottish and English settlers landed in the 17th century. The band appears across New England at folk festivals, coffeehouses and numerous private events, and 2015 they were delighted to open for British folk rock icons Steeleye Span. Ulster Landing is Karen Burciaga, fiddle & voice; Dan Meyers, uilleann pipes, tin whistle, flute & voice; Matthew Wright, bouzouki, guitar & voice.
