Category: Hiking, Snowshoeing, Walking,

The hustle and bustle of the City of Keene disappears as one enters the gate of this quaint and tranquil oasis of a park nestled on the banks of the Ashuelot. This 157-acre wooded park features a river, a mill dam waterfall with excellent views from both sides, a pedestrian suspension bridge, a gazebo, gardens, wetlands, and a coffee shop at the corner. The south entrance to the Jonathan Daniels Trail is at the north end of the park. It is a 1-mile packed dirt trail that connects to the Appel Way Trail, a 1-mile paved trail that travels west to Wheelock Park. Be sure to catch the park’s showcase annual event each Labor Day, Art in the Park, to see a vast display of local artistry.
