With over 13,300 acres (21 square miles) of rough forested terrain, Pisgah is the largest New Hampshire state park. It encompasses a complete watershed north of the Ashuelot River. The park features six trailheads and protects seven ponds, four highland ridges and numerous wetlands. While there are few notable vistas or steep climbs in the park, the miles of well-maintained and remote trails allure hikers, skiers, and ATVers. A group of local volunteers is dedicated to preserving and conserving the forest in a natural condition. Amenities include learning environments, and restrooms. This is a (leashed) dog-friendly park. Park entry is free from all access points. Some gates will be closed during mud season.
