Wantastiquet-Monadnock Greenway connects two prominent mountains with a series of trails and back roads spanning over 50 miles from Mount Wantastiquet in Hinsdale, NH to Mount Monadnock in Jaffrey. It passes through Madame Sherri Forest, over Daniels Mountain and Bear Mountain, through Pisgah State Park, and then follows a series of dirt roads to Horatio Colony Preserve and over West Hill. Then it follows the Cheshire Rail Trail through Keene and south into Swanzey, and then Troy. It turns onto Quarry Rd and continues by going up and over Gap Mountain and then following the Metacoment-Monadnock Trail to the summit of Monadnock. There is one shelter and two campsites along the way to help facilitate a through hike. The trail’s multiple connections are symbolic of the many collaborations that helped make this greenway possible.
